The Midlands Workforce Development Board (MWDB) is the employer-led, regional Board that coordinates, funds and oversees the Midlands area employment and training services including the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) program and the SC Works Centers in Fairfield, Lexington, and Richland Counties in South Carolina. The Board serves as the bridge between the local businesses needing skilled staff and the local job seekers. The MWDB is committed to building a comprehensive, efficient and integrated workforce development system through a diverse partner network.
Some of our partners include SC Department of Employment and Workforce, SC Department of Social Services, SC Vocational Rehabilitation, Area Adult Education, Community Action organizations, Goodwill Industries, Job Corps, Midlands Technical College, as well as private non-profits.
